I have had the pleasure of leading two award-winning animation projects at Dolby. Both were leveraged globally as beacons of who we are and what we stand for as a company and a brand. These animated short projects taught me how to distill a story down to only what is 100 percent necessary.
Silent
Silent is a short film that played during the Academy Awards to celebrate the naming rights of the Dolby Theatre. This was a key asset in a campaign we created to celebrate Dolby’s love for the cinema.
This film won two Emmys and numerous advertising awards. There is power in bringing a simple message of creativity to life.
Escape
A euphoric vision of the future is presented through this cinematic poem about the challenging, yet world-changing, power of invention as a lone space explorer crash-lands on a desolate planet and must find a way to make her new home habitable.
We worked with artist Imogen Heap to construct an original score based off the film’s message and character traits.
Escape was accepted into and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
